Tipped to be on of the greatest outdoor clubbing events of
the year, UK Clubbing Directory was there to let you know what happened.
With almost 35,000 people in attendance and the promise of "one of the
most visually stunning events ever staged" surely this had to be worth the
£45 ticket price? Well, yes, the arenas, music and overall atmosphere was
quite breathtaking but it did leave you feeling somewhat let down by the pre-event
build-up.
With a wide array of music featuring the best hard house and trance from Sundissential
with an 8,000 capacity arena through to the stomping drum n bass of the Helter
Skelter arena global gathering definetly offered the widest array of music that
we'd seen this year.
The prices were high (£3 for a beer, £1.50-£2 for a bottle
of water) but generally reasonable, considering you'd pay more than £3 for
a beer in some clubs. The rest was more or less what you expect (not necessarily
want) to pay at these events.
15 hours of non-stop partying is difficult enough but when you've got a choice
between GodsKitchen,
Sundissential,
Helter
Skelter, Colours, The
Gallery, Atomic-Jam
and Babooshka
you really have to battle to fit in everything you want to see.
