Bars in San Antonio, Ibiza |
 |
Bar M, Avenida Dr Fleming
The now legendary venue of the Manumission warm-up parties, this bar is the place
to be seen. Lit by red lights and with large trees in the centre, Bar M has
a style all of it’s own. There is a more comfortable seating area above
the bar and it makes the perfect spot to people-watch while sipping your cocktails.
The Manumission girls are there every night and there is always a good feel
to the atmosphere. |

Coastline
cafe, Carrer De Barcelona
The newest of the sunset strip bars and recently split to create its sister site
SunSea bar, this place is amazing. Host to a different pre-party every day, it’s
the perfect place to while away those lazy days before/after you hit the clubs.
Not only does it provide the requisite DJs and good selection of cocktails, there
is a superb restaurant as well. Perfectly positioned for day long sun, the bar
provides views of the sunset to rival Café del Mar and you can watch the
sun go down from its own sandy beach. By day, soak up the sun on the free sunloungers
or chill out in either of the two pools or jacuzzi. By night, dancers take to
the shallow pool and entertainers roam pool-side. Heaven. |
 |
Café del Mar, Carrer De Barcelona
Although not as modern and well decked out as some of the newer bars, Café del
Mar still manages to retain all the original charm that made it such a success
in the first place. Still the best place to catch the sunset, no visit to Ibiza
would be complete without watching the sun setting from the beach. Stunning. |
 |
SunSea Bar, Carrer De Barcelona
Sister bar to coastline, the only real difference between the two bars is the
music policy (SunSea has a slightly harder music policy than Coastline).
Lacking the outdoor bar of its sister site, all the sun loungers and swimming
pools are present and correct. Unfortunately, Coastline seems to have won
in terms of popularity and it’s a shame, as the atmosphere in SunSea
is warmer and more welcoming. At the end of the day this is a great bar and
well worth a visit. |
Savannah, Calle Vara De Rey
Good food and drink, touched by the sunset. Grab a table or hang out on
the rocks, it's up to you.
|
Kanya, Calle D'es Moro
Next door to Coastline and SunSea bar, Kanya has it’s own beach bar and
makes for a chilled, laid back daytime venue. Kanya has a quality restaurant,
reached via a small bridge over a pool filled with tropical fish. Adorned by
large ferns and well designed, it’s a beautiful place to be. Fantastic
views, good DJs and a large pool all make for a wicked ambience.
|
Café Mambo, 9 Carrer De Barcelona
Probably the funkiest sunset cafe in San Antonio, this is the perfect spot
to take it easy as the DJs spin true Balearic classics. Pete Tong is
resident throughout the summer performing his weekly Radio 1 slot and
this has been pulling in the crowds. Host to pre-parties for Pacha and
Underwater, Mambo tends to attract the more glamorous and trendy clubbers.
|
Itaca Bar, Avenida Dr Fleming
Terracotta bar right next to Bar M. Minimalist decor has been used to great effect
here, with a more classy feel to it. As popular with families as with clubbers,
the less in your face atmosphere makes this a refreshing change from the noise
and commotion in other bars.
|
Internet Cafes |
terminal, Calle San Antonio,
15 (previously called Ebop)
Brand new Internet café/bar/record store owned by Spaced (the
pod people) and Plastic Fantastic. Possibly the only place you can listen
to live DJs while
you check your Hotmail! |
E-Station, Avenida Dr
Fleming
Right next to the Egg, this Internet café is one of the biggest
in Ibiza. |
Sports Bars
At any other time, we would strongly recommend to anyone who is after
the real Ibiza experience that you stay well away from any pub offering
darts, pool and Sunday roasts; but if you need your fix, here are a few
of the best! |
OK Corral, just
off the Vara del Rey
It's an English pub, and it's in San Antonio - you know what to expect! It has
Sky Sports and should satisfy your footballing needs. |
Winch’s,
Monterrey
Another British-style pub, but with Ibiza-style terraces. Sky Sports.
